Welcome on Board

 An Impressive Sailing Experience

The Astrid was built in 1918 as a lugger and up to about 1975 she carried cargo on the Baltic Sea. After a period of questionable practices under Lebanese flag ending in a devastating fire, she came into British hands in 1984. Here, she was overhauled completely and got her impressive rigging for Atlantic crossings as a training vessel. In 1999/2000 the Astrid was converted into a traditonal, luxury sailing vessel.

The Astrid carries up to 45 passengers on exclusive daytrips. On longer voyages she accommodates 24 guest crew members. There are 5 showers and 5 toilets. The warm maritime atmosphere of the longroom offers ample opportunity for common activities. The ships’ galley is set to provide catering for trips and voyages to  challenge (when so arranged) a star restaurant.
